*INITIAL MESH

Keyword type: step definition

In terms of an optimization process, in which the mesh is changed in several iterations, one can define the original nodal coordinates at the beginning of the optimization with *INITIAL MESH. It is needed for the status of the *GEOMETRIC CONSTRAINT, e.g. FIXGROWTH or FIXSHRINKAGE. It can only be used for design variables of type COORDINATE and only makes sense in a htmlref*FEASIBLE DIRECTIONfeasibledirection step.

First line:

Following lines:

• Node number.
• Value of the first global rectangular coordinate.
• Value of the second global rectangular coordinate.
• Value of the third global rectangular coordinate.
